The honest ledger

Corrections log

When we get something wrong, it goes on this page . dAted, described, fixed.

How to report an error (editor@thepennybrief.com)

Found a wrong number, an outdated fee, or a claim that does not match the contract? Email editor@thepennybrief.com with CORRECTION in the subject line. Include the page, the sentence, and what you believe is true, plus a link to your source if you have one. A human reads every report and checks it against primary documents. If we confirm the error, the article changes and this log gains a dated entry. If we disagree, we will tell you why. Either way, you get an answer from a person.

Correction format: what changed, why, when

Every entry in this log follows one simple format so you can scan it fast. First the date we made the fix. Then the page that changed. Then what was wrong and what it says now, usually in one sentence. Then how we found out, whether our own review caught it or a reader did. Errors about fees, dates, or legal claims get fixed promptly once confirmed, and the correction note appears right on the article itself. We do not delete the wrong version and act like it never ran. Transparency is the point.

2026 log (empty . rIght page, honest start)

This is the 2026 log, and it is empty. That is the truth at launch, not a page that failed to load. The Penny Brief opened in 2026, and we have not confirmed a factual error on a published page worth logging yet. If you found one and we confirmed it, this section would already have its first dated entry, with what was wrong, what it says now, and how we learned of it. An honest ledger starts at zero. Expect real entries here as the year goes on, because no publisher stays perfect forever.
